Apple Cider Vinegar
Another alternative treatment method for those who don’t want to undergo medical procedures is apple cider vinegar (ACV). it is made from the fermentation of sugars in apple juice and purportedly has several health benefits. Several popular DIY recipes call for using ACV as a base to make a topical substance. ACV is mixed with onion juice and the mixture is applied directly to the skin to eliminate sunspots and age spots. Aside from being effective against hyperpigmentation, the mixture also helps treat acne, varicose veins, and other skin concerns. One part ACV and onion juice are combined thoroughly and a cotton pad is dipped into the solution to apply the liquid directly onto the darkened spots. This is left on the spot for at least 30 minutes daily for six weeks. This leads to the gradual lightening of the area. Some also mix three tablespoons of ACV into a mug of hot or cold water, add a dab of honey, and drink the concoction twice daily for a month to lighten dark spots to give the skin a healthy, youthful glow.
