Avoiding Cigarette Smoking
It isn’t just alcohol that you must avoid if you’re trying to detox the liver. Another potentially self-destructive habit is cigarette smoking, though, in some ways, it’s worse than drinking alcohol. For example, there are still some benefits when you have a beer. Beer tends to be more nutritious than other alcoholic drinks and can be surprisingly good for the heart when drunk in moderation. On the other hand, cigarette smoking offers no benefits other than the potential for stress relief for smokers. However, like alcohol, cigarette smoking only offers temporary benefits in the form of stress relief. There will come a time when you have to smoke more to get the so-called benefits.
Smoking provides nothing for the body. At least with alcohol or other foods, you still get vitamins and nutrients. If you’re serious about taking care of your body and want to detox the liver, it’s a good idea to help your body by quitting smoking. It’s also a good idea to avoid those who smoke, as second-hand smoke can also cause health problems. Cigarette smoking is dangerous to your health, nothing less.
