Salicylic Acid
People frequently use salicylic acid, a peeling agent, to treat acne and other dermatological disorders and for everyday skin care. It is a member of the beta hydroxy acid chemical family. When administered, salicylic acid breaks the connections that hold dead skin cells to the live ones inside the skin’s pores. Salicylic acid can also aid in the treatment of warts.
Salicylic acid is a popular ingredient in face cleansers, anti-dandruff shampoos, wart removal gels, and wart bandages, among other cosmetic items. Because salicylic acid has exfoliating qualities, doctors refer to it as a “keratolytic” drug. Once it is placed on the skin, the acid can eliminate the outermost layer of skin cells, which helps remove warts and treat acne problems. You can use salicylic acid patches and gels to hasten the healing of warts and eliminate any HPV-affected cells. Salicylic acid must be used consistently for two to three months to be effective.
Do not use salicylic acid to eliminate warts on the face. While salicylic acid can be used as a spot treatment for acne, it is typically in considerably lower quantities than those used to treat warts. It is also not recommended for genital warts.
