Increase Mobility
The key to getting rid of varicose veins is to increase mobility. Physical activity sends more blood flowing through veins, which helps keep them healthy and free from damage while reducing pressure on them. Try picking up an exercise routine that increases your leg movement. Yoga is an excellent choice, but any activity that gets you moving will work.
Varicose veins are associated with an increased risk of various other conditions, including heart disease and embolisms. If you spend a lot of time sitting down, you should increase your activity level during the day so that you get up and move around at least once every hour. When you move around, go for walks outside and try to stay on your feet as much as possible. This will give your muscles the exercise they need to stay strong. Then, if your varicose veins don’t improve within a few weeks or months (or if they’re getting worse), see your doctor about possible treatment options.
