Instead, empty your bladder whenever you feel the need to go to the bathroom. It will keep bacteria from multiplying and causing more problems.
Additionally, you should try to urinate after sexual intercourse, especially for women. Bacteria can also spread through sex, and you can keep it from happening by urinating. Also, make sure to adhere to the proper penis or vaginal hygiene. Keeping these areas clean will prevent any harmful bacterial infections from occurring.
