Aloe Vera
Aloe vera, native only to southern Iran, has been documented in Persian medical texts dating back over 2500 years. There are several nutritional and therapeutic applications for the aloe vera plant. The plant’s green leaves are packed with a gel, which is often used as a wound and burn treatment.
Aloe vera juice is also widely used as a home remedy for treating skin, digestive, and other inflammatory problems, including stomach ulcers. It was recorded that drinking aloe vera juice helped with digestion and lowered the risk of developing stomach ulcers. These gastrointestinal benefits may be attributable to the several anti-inflammatory substances included in aloe vera juice, such as vitamin C. Aloe vera’s ulcer-healing benefits were similar to the standard anti-ulcer drug omeprazole. According to a clinical investigation, taking antibiotics with aloe vera at a dose of 1.4 mg/lb daily for six weeks was just as beneficial as standard therapy for healing ulcers and lowering H. pylori levels. There is a significant improvement in gastric tissue damage and inflammation in patients with gastric ulcers. Aside from that, it was able to shrink ulcer size.
