Apple Cider Vinegar
Apple cider vinegar is considered a liquid wonder because of its antioxidant, antibacterial, antifungal, and anti-inflammatory properties. It has been used in traditional medicine to treat infections, digestive issues, and several oral and tooth-related problems. In addition, several anecdotal reports from patients and traditional healers support the claim that apple cider can whiten teeth. This claim is now backed with scientific data and explanation.
Experts found that apple cider vinegar has excellent bleaching properties. In 2014, a study tested this on cows and yielded promising results. Several animal trials followed this study until the medical field gained confidence in approving this method. Nowadays, experts recommend using a small amount of apple cider vinegar to eliminate teeth discoloration.
To use it, dilute three teaspoons of apple cider vinegar into 10 ounces of water. Swish the solution (just like ordinary mouthwash) for 30 to 60 seconds. Then, gargle with warm water and brush your teeth as usual.
It is important to remember that high exposure to apple cider vinegar can soften the structure of the teeth and destroy the surface or enamel. So, use it with caution and in moderation.
