Treat Chronic Allergies
Snoring is a chronic condition; it won’t go away. However, there are several ways to keep your snoring in check and help alleviate or even eliminate it. For example, if you have allergies, your nasal passages tend to swell up and become inflamed, preventing you from breathing properly and keeping your throat open.
When you snore, what happens is that your throat vibrates with each breath you take. This vibration causes the air in your throat passage to strike your soft palate and uvula (the thing hanging down at the back of your mouth), which creates the noises associated with snoring. Treating allergies and the swelling up of the nasal passages allows your throat to stay open longer and effectively combat snoring.
