Ligation
Ligation is a simple and effective way to remove skin tags. In this method, a string is tied tightly around the base of the skin tag. As a result, the blood supply to your tag will be cut off slowly, as the tag will eventually die and fall off itself. The main benefit of this method is that it works extremely well, even in small skin tags with short stalks.
Some minor complications that might occur while removing a skin tag include bleeding, infection, or the formation of scar tissue at the site of ligation. However, these side effects will go away after some time has passed. Because of this method’s effectiveness in removing very small skin tags, it is often used for children and people who are too young or too sensitive in other ways.
