Powdered Licorice
Licorice root is derived from the roots of the licorice plant and is regarded as one of the world’s oldest herbal treatments. Licorice has been used medicinally for a long time, and it is originally from the regions of Western Asia and Southern Europe. Due to the plant’s powerful antibacterial capabilities, researchers have determined that licorice extracts may be helpful as an alternative therapy for fungal infections. Licorice is a popular herb in traditional medicine due to its antiviral, antibacterial, and anti-inflammatory effects. It is also a standard home treatment for ringworm and fungus.
For best results, bring one cup of water and eight teaspoons of licorice powder to a boil in a saucepan. Once the water has come to a boil, lower the heat and let it simmer for 10 minutes. Blend into a paste by stirring for a few minutes. Once the paste has cooled enough to touch, use it twice daily on the afflicted area. Leave the paste for about 10 minutes before washing it off. Finally, let the affected area breathe to avoid locking in moisture.
