Pineapples and Potatoes
Pineapples contain high levels of bromelain. Bromelain is a group of enzymes that aid in protein digestion and the removal of dead and damaged skin cells. Because of this, pineapples are believed to be effective in removing plantar warts. Several testimonies claim that drinking pineapple juice regularly helped slowly “kill” their warts. Another effective way to use it is by soaking the feet in diluted pineapple juice for a few minutes before going to bed. This method is proven effective in gradually removing dead skin cells and excess keratin in the epidermis. There are also small-scale studies supporting the potential of pineapples to prevent the recurrence of all kinds of warts.
On the other hand, potatoes are also believed to be effective against plantar warts. In addition, several people claim that applying potato juice to the infected area can dehydrate warts. To do this, cut a potato in half and then rub the inner side to the wart. Next, let the infected areas soak in potato juice for half an hour before rinsing them with warm water. Unfortunately, there are not enough data to support these claims, but potato juice is harmless to the skin, so this remedy is worth a try.
