Banana and Orange Peel
Banana peel is widely used in traditional medicine as a remedy for plantar warts. There are a lot of anecdotal claims and testimonies from healers and patients globally about the effectiveness of applying banana peel in getting rid of warts and preventing the recurrence of this skin disease. Even though no scientific data supports its efficacy, experts could not see any harm in trying this remedy. To test this, cut a fresh piece of banana peel big enough to cover the warts. Then, place the peel over the infected area and use tape to keep it in place. It is best to do this before going to bed.
Another natural remedy is using orange peel because of its acidity. No scientific data supports its effectiveness like a banana peel, but it is still widely used because of the existing testimonies and anecdotal reports. It is also an inexpensive and practical way to get rid of plantar warts. To use it, rub a fresh piece of orange peel on the infected area at least once daily. In theory, after a few days of doing this, the plantar warts will turn darker and eventually fall off.
