Lavender oil is a natural antiseptic and anti-inflammatory. You can also use it to repel insects, so it can be an effective treatment for lice and nits if used it on the head. When using lavender oil to treat lice, apply it directly to the scalp or mix it with other oils such as coconut or olive oil.
