Olive Oil
Olive oil is an effective remedy for lice. To use it as a conditioner, apply a small amount of olive oil to the scalp and massage it through the hair. The olive oil will soften the lice and make them easier to comb. You can also use olive oil as a leave-on conditioner by adding one teaspoon of extra virgin or cold-pressed olive oil to the shampoo bottle and using this mixture instead of the usual shampoo routine. This is best done when other methods have eliminated the louse population since it will not kill lice but rather prevent re-infestation.
