Heat is the most effective method for killing lice in hair. To use heat, use a blow dryer on the highest setting or an electric hair flat iron. If using heat, be caregul so as not to burn your scalp or face. Do not use heat treatment on children with thin hair, sensitive skin, or damaged hair because it may cause more damage than good.
