Avoiding Sun Exposure
There are times of the day when exposure to the sun is ideal, as it gets you your daily dose of vitamin D. However, once it gets close enough to noon, the sun’s rays get more intense. In those situations, avoiding too much sun exposure is a good idea, as it could lead to damaged skin. There is a dry scalp condition where the damaged skin could eventually become skin cancer if left unchecked due to sun damage. In such a situation, typical home remedies won’t work, and you have to go for non-invasive surgery to stop the precancerous cells from mutating. Not many people mind exposure to the sun, especially those who have jobs toiling under the sun. However, you’ll find those same people have scaly, damaged skin around their scalps due to sun exposure.
Whenever possible, avoid sun exposure to help reduce the odds of getting a dry scalp in the future. It’s easy for the scalp to get irritated under the hot sun, so ensure you plan ahead. For example, don’t go on walks and save them for later if the sun is too hot.
