Carbamide Peroxide Otic
Carbamide peroxide otic is a medication formulated to treat clogged ears due to earwax accumulation. It works by softening and loosening up the earwax buildup. Excessive earwax can cause severe blockage along the ear canal, resulting in reduced hearing.
Carbamide peroxide otic works by releasing the oxygen that ultimately foams once it comes in direct contact with the skin. The foaming action breaks up and removes the earwax buildup. It can be used in adults and children aged 12 years and older.
Ideally, the solution must be applied to the ear twice daily or as directed by a physician. It is imperative that carbamide peroxide otic application must not be used for more than four days unless otherwise instructed by a physician.
Individuals must clean and sanitize their hands before application to guarantee optimum efficacy and superior results. You may need a second set of hands to ensure the right amount of medication is administered. To reduce the risk of dizziness, it is advised to warm the container in your hands for a few minutes before application. When administering carbamide peroxide otic in children, hold the earlobe down and back for even application.
