Decrease Stress
Stress is something everyone experiences and has become a vital part of life. It can radically affect a person’s thoughts, emotions, and behavior. Additionally, stress can lead to many health issues, such as high blood pressure, heart disease, obesity, diabetes, and digestive problems if left unchecked.
Burping and stress are interconnected. Anxiety might also be triggered when a person feels stressed, causing an individual to hyperventilate or over breathe. Hyperventilation may result in burping, bloating, and flatulence following the swallowed air in the stomach.
Stress can also cause esophageal spasms, the irregular muscle contractions in the food pipe (esophagus). This can result in air being trapped in the esophagus, which can cause stress burping.
Gut issues might also be experienced by someone anxious, stressed, or depressed. In this case, a person may gulp large amounts of air. Again, some people do this on purpose, but some may not be aware of doing so. Either way, it leads to burping.
If a person feels down or panicky, it is recommended to visit a doctor or a counselor to learn better ways to manage stress and stop abnormal burping.
