12 Home Remedies For Burning Feet: How To Get Rid Of It

Epsom Salt Solution

Epsom salt (formula: magnesium sulfate heptahydrate) is a chemical compound known for its pain-relieving properties caused by stress, inflammation, infection, and others. Epsom salt differs slightly from regular table salt (sodium chloride). The element sodium can increase the risk of high blood pressure and other health complications if taken in large amounts, and chlorine, a common skin irritant and, with much exposure, can be dangerous to the lungs and other internal organs. Epsom salt, however, has been proven to be a healing agent since ancient times because of its magnesium. For example, soaking the feet in an Epsom salt solution can soothe and relieve muscle pains and other foot problems and infections like athlete’s foot (caused by fungus.)

To prepare the Epsom salt foot bath, get a basin and put warm water in it. The water should be enough to cover the feet to the ankles (or desired length to the shin.) Put one-half cup of Epsom salt into the basin. Wash the feet first with clean water before soaking them in the basin. Then, soak the feet for 30 minutes, and do this twice a week.
