Other Essential Oils
Numerous types of essential oils can be used as supplementary treatments for boils. They come from plants and herbs that have medicinal effects for skin problems and act as antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and antiseptic for fast and efficient healing. Essential oils from medicinal plants like Tridax daisy, Devil’s horsewhip, Goatweed, and more have proven effective for treating common skin problems like boils.
How essential oils can be used for treating boils:
Tridax daisy essential oil is good for cleansing the wound and can be applied as a topical ointment when replacing gauze. It helps keep the damaged skin away from more bacteria and keeps the gauze clean and sterile.
Devil’s horsewhip extract can serve as a protective layer for the ruptured boil when changing bandages, especially when needed to be replaced two to three times a day.
Goatweed essential oil (and extract) can be used by someone suffering from boils to keep the wound from contracting more infections. In addition, it’s an excellent supplementary treatment to apply when replacing gauzes or bandages like a thin layer of secondary defense on the wound.
