Mood Swings
A mood swing is a dramatic shift in one’s emotional state. A person’s usual, cheery demeanor might suddenly shift to feelings of sadness, irritability, or anger during a mood swing. An individual may be experiencing estrogen dominance if they are prone to erratic and extreme mood swings that have no clear explanation.
Mood swings are natural, and a change in hormone levels may bring them on. Hormonal shifts are more likely to cause discomfort in women than men, especially during the aforementioned transitional periods of menstruation, pregnancy, and menopause. Exaggerated PMS symptoms, including irritability and sadness, may be caused by either an excess of estrogen or a deficiency of progesterone. Mood-regulating neurotransmitters like serotonin and GABA are thrown off because of estrogen dominance. Mood swings may result from a misbalance of these neurotransmitters. Mood swings, or periods in which one feels particularly happy or sad, are very normal. However, if the erratic conduct persists for many days, it may indicate a more severe issue. It is crucial to remember that mood changes’ intensity varies from person to person. Emotional complexity is inherent to the human experience.
