Neck Pain
Due to the host of symptoms that can occur at the onset of a head cold and the fact that headaches are so common, you’ll likely suffer from neck pain. There is a chance that neck pain could be the first thing you notice alongside a sore throat. While it might not hurt that much, it will feel somewhat raw to the touch, and you might only feel it when you start pressing right under your jaw. Depending on the sore throat symptoms, it can affect one side of the jaw or both. Neck pain is another common indicator that you might have a head cold, and it’s your body’s way of telling you that there’s more coming. Typically, you’ll feel neck pain and a sore throat about a day or two before the onset of other symptoms.
Neck pain can make sleeping more challenging, though you likely won’t have much of a problem when the other symptoms come. The body will start to slow down, and you’ll feel more and more need to rest as it goes. Follow your body’s cues and recuperate.
