An overuse injury also referred to as “writer’s camp,” is a joint injury caused by repetitive movements. The problem may be linked to particular or general activities made by the impacted muscles during fine motor tasks.

Overuse injuries frequently result from training errors and technique errors. For example, too much physical exercise too quickly can lead to training errors. Likewise, muscle strain and overuse injuries can result from moving too fast, working out too long, or simply performing excessive amounts of one kind of exercise.

Technique errors occur when someone swings a golf club, throws a baseball, or performs a series of exercises for strength training with improper posture. As a result, they could overwork specific muscles and result in an overuse injury.
