The medical professional places the grafts in the spots of the scalp that lost hair. The transplanted patch of skin should continue to grow hair after it has healed.
The most renowned method of hair transplant surgery is hair grafting. A medical professional removes tiny portions of the scalp that retain healthy hair. Sometimes they remove the skin 10 to 15 inches or less using a small, round punch. These grafts were known as “hair plugs” in the past. A maximum of two hairs are present in micro-grafts that might need to be done for several hours. Most patients are awake throughout the procedure.
