Eczema
Eczema is a skin condition that causes red, itchy rashes to form on the skin. It can be triggered by food allergies and may also be linked to gluten intolerance. Eczema is often treated with steroid creams, but the best way to treat eczema is to avoid what triggers it in the first place, like certain foods or environmental factors.
Some people react when they eat gluten, while others are allergic to the protein found in wheat, barley, rye, and oats (the primary grain containing gluten). Symptoms of an allergy include hives or other rashes on the skin and gastrointestinal distress such as diarrhea or constipation.
However, not everyone sensitive to gluten reacts to these symptoms. Some people experience headaches, while others may feel tired after eating bread made with wheat flour instead of white flour (which typically doesn’t contain any traces of gluten).
If a person suspects a sensitivity or allergy toward this protein found in many common foods, they should consider eliminating it from their diet for several weeks. If this results in positive changes during that time, then it’s likely something worth keeping off future food intakes too.
