10. Cucumber
It is the 4th most cultivated vegetable around the world and there is a good reason for doing so. It is considered a superfood. It means that it contains a lot of nutrients and you will highly benefit from it. From molybdenum to Vitamin K, you will get everything from cucumber. Its tryptophan level might be quite low at just 0.001 grams per ounce, but given all other benefits, you have no reason for refusing to eat cucumber.
Best Advice
If you have noticed, most tryptophan-rich foods are sourced from plants. This means that you have to increase your vegetable intake if you want to be happy and get rid of meat. There is nothing wrong with eating meat every now and then, but these plant sources are way better. Again, high serotonin levels fight depression and anxiety. If you are going through a tough time, it is in your best interest to take these foods.
