Cabbage is also considered a superfood due to its abundance of nutrients and vitamins, despite being overlooked compared to other fruits and vegetables. As a part of this list, cabbage is loaded with the flavonoid quercetin, and includes antioxidants that can help prevent cell damage. Cabbage is also well-known for containing plenty of vitamin C, which can help the body stay healthy, including elevating bioavailability to help the body absorb more vitamins and nutrients.
That said, cabbage does have a few potential hiccups for those sensitive to bloating and GI problems.
