Bone Broth
The benefits of homemade bone broth for overall health have long been theorized. One of the most well-liked is chicken soup, which is recommended as a cold and flu treatment. Bone broths are simple to digest and are thought to have therapeutic properties.
The hypothesis is supported by research to some extent since homemade bone broth does include bioavailable collagen and efficient nutrients and amino acids, albeit in minimal amounts. Depending on the kind of bones used, the length of time the broth is heated, and the level of processing (canned or packed), different nutrients and amino acids are present in varying amounts.
Bone broth alone cannot currently heal the gut alone, increase immunity, or treat disease due to a lack of sufficient scientific evidence. Most studies have examined the advantages of consuming isolated collagen variants for skin and joint health rather than concentrating on bone broths for gut health.
