Those who have a foodborne disease can experience blurred vision because of the effects of dehydration and dizziness. When the body becomes dehydrated as an effect of diarrhea, it compensates by drawing liquid from other organs. The brain suffers from dehydration, and it can trigger blurry vision or double vision. They can have blurry vision when dizzy because of the connection between the inner ear and the eyes. As the inner ears have fluids getting dehydrated can also lead to the fluids being affected.
While blurry vision can correct itself, they must also try to make lifestyle changes to ensure that they prevent a recurrence, like undergoing regular eye examinations, eating nutrient-rich food, and stop smoking which is a high-risk factor for such conditions.
