Obesity
People who are overweight have greater risks of developing skin infections like folliculitis.
Excessive body fat and its associated health risks constitute the complicated condition known as obesity. However, being overweight is more than simply a physical issue. It’s a medical issue that raises the chances of developing other diseases and conditions, including cardiovascular disease, diabetes, hypertension, and some types of cancer. Some people have trouble losing weight for a variety of reasons. Obesity is the consequence of a complex interaction of genetic, physiological, environmental, and behavioral variables.
Excessive caloric intake above energy expenditure leads to obesity. Each person has a unique calorie intake and expenditure balance. Overeating, a diet heavy in fat and processed foods, and a lack of physical activity can all contribute to an individual’s overall body mass index.
The development of diseases, including diabetes, heart disease, stroke, arthritis, and some malignancies, are all linked to obesity. The effects of obesity extend beyond mere weight increase. When people have more fat than muscle, the bones and internal organs must work harder to support their weight. But, unfortunately, it also raises the body’s inflammation levels, a known carcinogen.
