Contact Dermatitis
Contact dermatitis is similar to an allergic reaction where you have issues with your eyelids (causing dry eyelids) and the skin around your body due to a foreign substance triggering a response. The irritants can vary wildly and include makeup, soaps, detergent, sunscreen, and more.
Once contact dermatitis occurs, it can be very irritating as you start suffering symptoms one after the other. The issue comes with understanding the trigger, which might not be easy depending on your lifestyle. For example, you could irritate your eyes when you rub your eyelids with the back of your fingers. While rubbing your eyelids can cause irritation, contact dermatitis has a trigger. It could be something you ate that’s still present on your fingers, or it could very well be a piece of dust that caught your finger as you rubbed your eyes.
Trying to cure or prevent contact dermatitis is all about learning these triggers. Such is the reason why it’s a good idea to keep a diary where you can write potential issues down. It can help you trace problems to their source.
