Lack of Exercise and Physical Activity
This may not require any scientific explanation. By simply comparing the cellulite levels among people who exercise regularly or engage in regular physical activity and those who do not, it is not difficult to say that exercising helps combat cellulite formation or at least the conspicuousness of cellulite. While being lean and fit does not always mean the complete absence of cellulite, it certainly makes it less noticeable.
No specific exercise routines or physical activities are proven to reduce cellulite. However, exercises are advised because of the benefit of fat burning, which not only makes the body slim or lean but also builds muscles and improves blood circulation. When the body has more muscles, it becomes easier to burn fat and less difficult to engage in physical activities. Improved blood circulation, on the other hand, is antithetical to cellulite formation.
Health experts recommend a minimum of 50 minutes of moderate aerobic exercises such as hiking and lawn tennis in a week or 75 minutes of vigorous aerobic activities like swimming and running. Exercises that target specific body parts like the abdomen or back do not have superior cellulite reduction benefits.
