Vomiting
Vomiting may happen in association with many conditions or health issues. It is the body’s way of getting rid of irritants in the stomach and sometimes occurs due to irritation in the gut. No matter the cause, vomiting should not last more than two days or frequently. A call or visit to the doctor is also essential if the vomit is green or if there are signs of dehydration and weight loss.
When one vomits repeatedly and forcefully, it may also strain the body, causing blood vessels, including those in the eyes, to break. Sometimes, the vomiting, which often comes with nausea, usually clears up on its own. However, it is considered a medical emergency if the vomiting causes more than just subconjunctival hemorrhage. If it seems to be a sign of a more serious problem than just an upset stomach or if it comes with severe symptoms like chest pain, high fever, headache, and tummy pain, seeking medical attention is the best way to be safe.
