May Help Lower Blood Pressure and Cholesterol Levels
Black seed oil is known to help control blood pressure and cholesterol levels. It has been studied that it is effective in managing blood pressure and balancing good cholesterol over bad cholesterol. High blood pressure and high total LDL levels are known to be the leading cause of heart disease.
There is one study that involves 90 women that are obese, and the other in 72 adults having type-2 diabetes. It was found that after taking 2 to 3 grams of black seed oil capsules per day for 8 to 12 weeks, their condition improved. In addition, the data shows that it reduced LDL or bad cholesterol and balanced the blood pressure to normal.
Another study of 90 people with high cholesterol levels observed that taking two teaspoons or 10 grams of black seed oil significantly lowered LDL and cholesterol levels. While the results are promising, extensive research needs to be done on black seed oil to ensure the optimal dose is enough for safety and accuracy.
