Dapsone
Use a moderate, soapless cleanser to clean the afflicted skin gently, then pat it dry. As instructed by the doctor, apply a little amount of medicine (about the size of a pea) in a thin layer to the skin’s afflicted areas. This drug is often used once or twice a day, depending on the brand. Gently massage and avoid touching lips and eyes at all costs.
Only apply this medicine to the skin. Applying near or within the groin or vaginal area is not recommended. The skin may momentarily become yellow or orange when using benzoyl peroxide and dapsone gel together. See a doctor or pharmacist to determine if it is advisable to use prescription or over-the-counter benzoyl peroxide products and how to do so safely.
Most importantly, call the doctor immediately if there are any severe side effects. Among those are mental or mood changes (such as sadness and agitation), unusual fatigue or weakness, black urine, or shortness of breath.
There are rare listed adverse effects using this treatment. However, if there are any major adverse reactions, such as itching, a rash, swelling (particularly of the face, throat, or tongue), difficulty breathing, or severe dizziness, get medical attention immediately.
