Microneedling
Microneedling is another effective acne scar treatment applicable to all skin types. A smaller, portable “pen” or a roller with needles is used in this more recent procedure to apply pressure to the scars’ surface.
It employs tiny needles to intentionally harm the skin to promote the synthesis of collagen, which can help to fade scars. It may be done with or without heat, like microneedling radiofrequency. Acne scar textural improvement has been demonstrated to be aided by microneedling radiofrequency, and it can also stop the formation of new pimples.
In microneedling, the top layer of the skin is punctured by a roller equipped with tiny needles. This technique encourages collagen production, plumping the skin and smoothing scars. After that, the region will likely remain red for a few days. Microneedling requires about four to six treatments to lessen scarring. Treatment may last up to 9 months for better results, making acne scars look less deep.
