Tiredness
Although one might not immediately link fatigue to a UTI, it is a common indicator of an infection. A UTI often causes tiredness in women before other symptoms do. The general health, age, intensity and location of the infection, and other factors, will all influence whether or not you experience weariness. For men, in addition to UTI symptoms, several others could indicate prostate infection (prostatitis), including fatigue.
While prostatitis starts in the prostate gland, the surrounding tissue may also become inflamed. Bacteria, which can also cause a bladder infection or UTI, are the main cause of prostatitis. Escherichia coli is a more prevalent bacteria linked to prostatitis, especially among those over 35. STIs like gonorrhea and chlamydia, which are sexually transmitted, can also result in prostatitis. Although it could be related to immune system disorders or prostate injury, the precise cause of chronic prostatitis is frequently unknown.
It is more likely to experience tiredness in the early stages of an uncomplicated UTI if the immune system is compromised due to a health condition, medication, or age. However, tiredness is also an indicator that the lower urinary tract infection that began in the urethra and bladder has migrated to the kidneys.
