Wearing Shoes That Make the Feet Sweaty
A shoe shields the feet from injuries, infections, and deformities. Without shoes, a person may hurt their feet and be unable to do their functions well. But it is also important that the shoes used to protect the feet are in good condition. Shoes or footwear should be free from harmful germs and fungi. This may be prevented if the shoes are made of materials that do not make the feet sweaty.
Fungus is known to thrive in a moist, warm environment. Fungus and other microorganisms develop where the air doesn’t flow well. These areas are usually sweaty, wet, and damp. When the foot is exposed for a long time to these environments, it makes itself susceptible to fungi-related diseases. A perfect example is a shoe that is covered in sweat.
Sweat is a bodily product made up of water and salt. Its main function is to regulate temperature, add more grip to the foot, and give moisture. Sweating is one of the main factors of fungus growth and development. It moistens the shoes, the best environment for the fungus to grow. Changing socks or shoes when the first sign of moisture occurs is beneficial in preventing the development of fungi caused by toenail fungus.
