Skipping Meals
Several factors can cause tension headaches, but skipping meals is one of the most common triggers. When you skip meals, your body gets thrown off its food schedule. Your stomach doesn’t know when it will be fed again, so it tries to store everything you eat in case the next meal is a long way off. This means that your stomach has to work harder and harder to hold onto all that food, which can lead to stomach cramps and discomfort.
If a person has not eaten enough, they risk having a tension headache. When the body doesn’t have enough sustenance, it can react differently. The body requires food to keep the cells well-fed and healthy. When a person doesn’t eat enough food, their cells are malnourished.
