Exhaustion
Exhaustion is described as the state wherein a person feels extremely tired. In some cases, exhaustion is also known as fatigue. Causes of fatigue are extensive, ranging from conditions and diseases to medication and even lifestyle. Exhaustion may also be because of sleep disorders such as insomnia, sleep apnea, and narcolepsy.
Some conditions appear to signal a person that their body is exhausted. Some exhaustion symptoms include chronic tiredness or sleepiness, dizziness, headache, slowed reflexes, mood swings, muscle weakness, muscle aches, and muscle twitching.
When the brain interprets a person’s situation as stressful, it signals the body to muscle twitch. One stressful condition is exhaustion. When the body and mind are overworked, the brain fire signals to the muscle and triggers muscle twitching. It is a sign of mental and physical exhaustion. For instance, athletes may experience muscle twitching after practicing all day. Students reviewing for exams the whole night will also likely experience muscle twitching. Recent studies have shown that even emotional exhaustion can manifest through muscle twitching.
