15 Common Signs Of Low Sodium You Shouldn’t Ignore (List)

Vomiting

Vomiting is a symptom of low sodium. It can be severe (and even fatal) in some cases. However, it is usually reasonably straightforward by looking at the symptoms associated with high or low sodium levels.

The connection between nausea and vomiting and low sodium can be challenging. While it’s true that some people do experience both together, it’s only sometimes the case. Nausea can also occur when there’s too much sodium in the body, while vomiting is usually a sign of having too little salt in the system.

This can be confusing because many foods high in sodium also contain water, which will make a person feel fuller than other types of food, even though they have about the same nutritional value as foods with lower sodium levels.

If they are vomiting and experiencing symptoms of low blood sodium levels (such as muscle cramps), then it’s highly recommended that they get medical attention.
