13 Home (And Natural) Remedies For Pink Eyes

Clean Water or Saline

Flushing eyes with saline or distilled water can help to treat all types of pink eye because it cleanses the area around the eyes and removes any irritants that might be causing the inflammation. They are available at most pharmacies or drug stores.

Using saline or distilled water to manage the symptoms of pink eye is easy. First, wet a cotton ball or soft cloth with the solution or water. Next, gently wipe away any discharge from around the infected eye. Using a fresh cotton ball or cloth dampened with solution or water is crucial to rinse away any residue from the first cotton ball or cloth. Repeat this process until the infected eye feels clean and refreshed.

Those who don’t have access to a sterile saline solution or distilled water can use tap water instead. However, boiling the tap water for at least five minutes is important before using it on the eyes. Allow it to cool until it reaches room temperature before using it to flush the eyes. Never use hot tap water on your eyes, as this can cause serious harm.
