Aromatherapy
Essential oils have been used for centuries to treat different diseases. In addition, many small-scale studies proved the therapeutic benefits of aromatherapy. The citrusy scent of lemon is also effective in alleviating nausea. A study on pregnant ladies showed that smelling lemon oil lowers the cases of nausea and morning sickness by about 37%. Slicing a fresh lemon or sniffing its peels may offer patients instant relief.
Since aromatherapy is safe and has no records of severe side effects, it has become a lifesaver for patients who cannot take medications immediately. Pregnant ladies, children, and the elderly are some of the people who benefit from aromatherapy.
