Cold Compress
Cold compress is very beneficial in minimizing the burning sensation because of hematospermia and its associated pain. It inhibits the flow of blood and the activity of the nerves in the sex organs (specifically in the testes), significantly decreasing both inflammation and the pain caused by an infection that brings blood into the semen.
Prepare ice cubes in a plastic bag. After rinsing a washcloth in icy water, wrap it around the plastic bag containing the ice cubes. Put the washcloth into an ice bath if the cold will be too much for the skin to handle. Apply the prepared compress to the skin and allow it to stay up to 20 minutes. Use a towel to dry the inflamed area. Also, dab the skin with a damp towel while keeping the ice pack on the body. The ice may begin to melt quite fast. After two hours, reapply the compress to reduce inflammation. Continue repeating this until the inflammation has subsided completely.
