Family History of Hemorrhoids
A family history of hemorrhoids is one of the top causes of hemorrhoids. If someone’s parents or grandparents have had them, they may be more likely to develop them themselves.
This can happen because a person’s genes predispose them to develop hemorrhoids, so if their family has a history of this condition and it passes down through generations, then it’s more likely they will have them too.
Also, a person is exposed to certain factors that increase the risk of developing hemorrhoids if they’re already in their family. For example, if everyone in the family lives close together and eats lots of spicy foods while sitting on a chair all day, those are not good habits. They could trigger existing conditions like hemorrhoids or varicose veins.
