Early Signs Of CHF (Congestive Heart Failure): 12 Symptoms

Nausea and Lack of Appetite

The body may suffer nausea or a change in appetite during heart failure. Even though a person has eaten very little, some people with CHF feel full or queasy. It is called early satiety.

It may occur when the digestive system’s blood flow is compromised, interfering with the digestion process. The volume of blood circulating in the human body diminishes as the heart works harder to pump it throughout the body because the heart’s chambers don’t fill and empty appropriately. The brain and other more critical organs receive blood previously going to the digestive system.

Another cause of a weak appetite is fluid retention in the liver and digestive system. Fluid retention and other heart failure symptoms might make it difficult to get enough calories and nutrients to keep the body functioning. It may lead to weight loss and muscle loss, both of which are signs of developing the disease.

Aside from that, a person with CHF could feel soreness or pain in their abdomen. These symptoms are frequently brought on by a fluid accumulation (congestion) around the liver and intestines that impairs digestion.
